WHO WE ARE

I fell in love with English setters the first time I set eyes on them! While I was a undergraduate at the University of Georgia I had the privilege of meeting Alan, a male English setter, owned by a PhD student in a botany/genetics lab where I worked the spring of my last year. Alan was absolutely beautiful and I set about trying to obtain an English setter for myself. I ended up importing a bitch puppy from Daniela Sejvlova Czech Republic (Alan was also Czech) in August of 2003. Celine, Celine Shahrastani, whose name ultimately became Annabelle cemented my love of this wonderful breed. A short time later I found that one English Setter was not enough and I purchased Marlo, Legends That Girl, from Cathy Brewer of Legends English Setters, Washington State. I have spent the past several years showing my girls in conformation, obedience, and rally. I am hoping to start competing in field and agility later this year.

I am a member of the English setter association of America, Central Carolina English setter Club, the New River Valley Kennel Club (board member 2007, cooresponding secretary 2008) and Golden Retriever Club of America. I am also a certified CGC evaluator for the AKC.

As a 4th year veterinary student I met Leeah Chew DVM and her My Buddy Goldens. I fell in love with her dogs and jumped at the oportunity to purchase Buzz. I look forward to showing and training Buzz.

I graduated veterinary school from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2009 and moved from Virginia to Pittsburgh to enter practice as a small animal veterinarian.

I absolutely love English setters and would be happy to answer any questions you may have! I do not breed goldens but would also be happy to refer you to someone who does!
